Our clients can be assured their family’s safety is our primary concern.
We utilize several techniques to meet the specific requirement of each individualized foundation stabilization and sinkhole repair; such as:
- Compaction Grouting – The surface of the limestone is sealed, voids are filled and loose, weak soil is compacted. Injection pipes are placed into the ground according to site-specific plans proposed by a certified engineer. Grout is injected through the pipes utilizing high pressure to form a cap that is impermeable to water. The process can often raise the structure to its’ original position. The pipes are removed after the pumping process.
- Chemical Grouting – Shallow sinkholes maybe repaired by chemical grouting methods to prevent future severe structural damage and provide long-term stability while offering a foundation that is impermeable to water. Expanding polyurethane foam is injected through specifically placed pipes. Voids are filled and the foundation is carefully lifted. The pipes are later removed.
- Underpinning – The weight of a structure is permanently transferred onto underground steel piers resting on solid bedrock or load-bearing strata. The structure can be lifted to its’ original position. Underpinning is ideal for extremely large structures as well as small residential dwellings.
- Helical Piers – Existing structure damage due to settlement may be best repaired with helical piers. Helical piers stabilize and support load-bearing walls. The weight of the structure is shifted off the poor soil onto the helical piers.
